2017 Travel ReviewWe never had so many travel as in 2017. Because somebody told me kids no longer willing to travel with parents when they entering teenage, they rather willing to play with classmates and friends or just stay home. So in order to have more family travel, we must seize every vacation. As the result, we visit 16 national parks of USA and Canada, as well as many other Indian reservations (some really the National Park grade) and state parks. I have 82 days (22% a year) in travel! |
During February Winter break (8
days), we family of five took a cruise to
Bahamas. |
During April Spring Break
(8 days) We traveled around the Southwest: Six National Parks,
several state parks, and some of national park-level Indian reservations.
Including Las Vegas, Valley of Fire State Park, and Zion National Park, Antelope
Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell and Rainbow Bridge National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, Four Corners Monument, Monument
Valley, Grand Canyon National Park, etc.

At the beginning
of May

Beijing trip to visit parents. Friends took me to a tour of Dajue
Temple, my first time been there. After returning from Beijing, they
came to visit us. We took them around Boston, include Cape Ann. Then (3
days) spent a long weekend at Acadia National Park in Maine. After the summer trip back in July, the summer vacation is still not over, so
we continue to find some day trips nearby.

In August Day trip to Ogunquit Marginal Way. Day trip to Cape Ann. In September, Labor Day weekend, Day trip to Martha's Vineyard. Several hours trip to Colby Sunflower Farm. In October, day trip to Flume Gorge in the White Mountain. with Brother Lee; visit Tanzha Temple and Summer Palace
with friends. Took picture of Swan Lake in
late fall of November. In December, Christmas
vacation, (9 days)
we traveled again to
Florida, visit Brother Lee's home -- Charleston.
Visit Universal Studios and Adventure Island, Everglades National Park, Key West and
Honeymoon Island State Park.
Most pleasure of the Florida trip is visiting
several my teachers, former colleagues, brothers and sisters in Lord. This is brief review of all our trips in 2017, the
detail travel journals are still being updated slowly. Thinking just
select several pictures, but still pile up 108 of them. We photographed
them personally. Most of the photos were taken with my Sony A6000
mirrorless camera with 18-105G lens. The $808
investment is worth the money. A small part of the photo was taken with
my cell phone. Thanks Lao Wu, his travel review give me inspiration for writing my review. Otherwise, the beauty of our travels cannot be shared with you. Travel sometime is as painful as the journey of life, but after all the sufferings, only left the beautiful memories, which broader more of our views and mind. make us more humble and grateful. Remind us life should be more simple. |
